If you've been told that you can't wear contact lenses, then you've probably not visited NWECP. Our doctors love challenging patients and fit many bifocal wearers, patients with astigmatism, and even patients with dry eyes. We prescribe many types of contact lenses, including disposable, tinted, gas-permeable, toric (astigmatic), and bifocal.
A relatively new contact lens being prescribed at Northwest EyeCare is the Focus Night & Day lens, which has been approved by the FDA for up to 30 days of continuous wear. Made of a new soft material that supplies six times more oxygen to the eye than other disposable lenses, the lens can be safely worn continuously by many patients, thereby eliminating some of the tedious daily routine of removing and cleaning lenses.
Daily disposable lenses, designed to be worn for a day and then thrown away, are becoming increasingly popular. These lenses are perfect for those patients who don't like to clean their lens or only want to wear contacts occasionally.
Because of our large inventory of lenses, many first-time wearers leave the office wearing contact lenses on their initial visit.
If you have any questions about contacts, or still aren't sure this option is for you, call our office for a free contact lens consultation.
