Services

Serving Columbus, Ohio since 1968, the eye doctors and staff at Northwest EyeCare Professionals will share the latest in developments in vision care so that you may make choices for treatment that are best suited to your individual lifestyle.

Please see some of the tabs to the left for more information.

Primary Eyecare:  During a routine eye examination, a thorough case history is taken before a technician performs certain preliminary tests prior to seeing the eye doctor.  These tests include things such as power determination on old glasses, depth perception, color vision, peripheral vision, corneal shape, visual acuity and retinal photography.  Once in the examination room, your eye doctor will then review the preliminary results as well as discuss the primary purpose for your visit.  A prescription is then determined and the health of the eyes examined using a slit lamp (microscope).  After examining the front of the eye, a special magnifying lens is used to create a telescopic type of system to view the internal structures of the eye more closely.  This is also when the retinal photographs are reviewed.  After completing this additional testing, your eye doctor will make recommendations based upon your specific wants and needs.

Contact lenses: including regular and specialty fits, such as bifocals, CRT and wavefront customized rigid gas permeables.

Medical Management: we can diagnose and treat ocular disease and injury.

Optical Dispensary:  We work hard to ensure that we carry quality frame and lenses.  We welcome your questions when it comes to frame and lens materials.

Pediatrics:  We welcome youngsters daily as new patients in our practice and we are honored that you trust us with your little loved ones. We are proud to participate in InfantSEE screenings and Realeyes School Presentations.

Surgical Co-management:   We gladly co-manage surgical procedures with local ophthalmologists not only for LASIK but also for things such as cataract removal or eyelid repair.

Low Vision Rehabilitation:  Persons with permanently reduced vision fall into this category.  Much can be done to help magnify, not restore, vision so that activities of daily living can be accomplished.  Occasionally this requires a home visit by an occupational therapist.
